Pauline Zelinski

I have always loved pattern and colour and use this as inspiration for my work. All pieces are hand made using a white earthenware clay. The design is then hand painted with underglaze colours and finally given a transparent glaze. Once fired the full vibrancy of the colours underneath is revealed.
My inspiration comes from many sources, predominately forms and patterns in nature.
I trained at the West Surrey College of Art and Design at Farnham after which I combined teaching in various art schools with making my own ceramics for several years, eventually concentrating entirely on developing my own work.
I work from my studio in Devon and exhibit and sell directly to the public and galleries throughout the UK.
I am also a member of MAKE Southwest.
