As you may have seen, we have closed artisan for 10 days during which time we are endeavouring to increase the useable space for display and redecoration. We will be open again for business on Monday February 5th. There will be space allocated for artists to work in the gallery so that visitors can see work in progress.

On Friday, March 1st we are planning a re-launch of artisan to celebrate our status as a community interest company. And to acknowledge the valuable help and support of our volunteers.

As a CIC we plan to facilitate art classes for Chagford Primary School which will start off being held in the Dartmoor Makers Studio at Bellacouche opposite the school. And will seek out artists who would like to provide workshops for children and adults.

We are planning to feature ‘guest artists’ who will show their work and , where possible, hold workshops also at Dartmoor Makers.

Other ideas include featuring ‘junior artists’ to encourage young makers. We will publicise these events on our website.
