Ann Farag
Anne trained as a Goldsmith at Birmingham School of Jewellery and became a self employed designer maker after she left college and hasn’t looked back since. She uses all the normal basic techniques she learnt as a student, and now works mainly with silver, and unusual semi-precious cabochons and beads from around the world.
In resent years photo-etching has become her main focus and passion. Learning to draw intricate designs on the computer and then having the vision to see the possibility’s on the screen of what she would create before the silver is etched. She discovered that it freed her up to experiment with various ideas and designs.
One things for sure, it’s certainly changed the way Anne works, and reflects the continuing aesthetic commitment she brings to everything she does and more importantly, the way her work looks.
